Ingredients
Scale
4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
Pat the boneless pork chops completely dry using paper towels. This step helps achieve a crispy exterior.
In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and dried thyme to create your seasoning blend.
Lightly brush both sides of each pork chop with olive oil.
Generously coat both sides of the pork chops with the seasoning blend, pressing it gently into the meat.
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 5 minutes.
Place the seasoned pork chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
Air fry for 10 minutes.
Flip the pork chops over. Increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C) and air fry for an additional 3 to 5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
Remove the air fryer pork chops from the basket and let them rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes before serving. Resting keeps the meat juicy.
Notes
For bone-in pork chops, you may need to add 2-3 minutes to the total cook time.
Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness; 145°F is safe and ensures a tender result.
If you prefer a sweeter flavor, add 1 teaspoon of brown sugar to the seasoning mix for a caramelized crust.
