Make these easy sheet pan buffalo chicken sliders for your next gathering. They use simple ingredients like shredded chicken, spicy buffalo sauce, and melted cheese baked on soft Hawaiian rolls. This recipe is a crowd-pleasing appetizer perfect for game day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 King’s Hawaiian sweet rolls (or similar slider rolls)
  • 3 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works well)
  • 1 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons ranch dressing (plus extra for drizzling)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
  • Optional: Blue cheese crumbles for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, melted butter, ranch dressing, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until the chicken is fully coated.
  3. Slice the slider rolls horizontally, keeping the rolls connected in one piece if possible. Place the bottom halves of the rolls into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Spread the buffalo chicken mixture evenly over the bottom layer of rolls in the baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the chicken mixture.
  6. Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese layer.
  7. Brush the tops of the rolls lightly with any remaining melted butter mixture, if desired, for extra browning.
  8. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the tops of the rolls are golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven. Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes before slicing them into individual sandwiches.
  11. Drizzle extra ranch dressing over the tops before serving warm.

Notes

  • Using pre-cooked, shredded chicken makes this recipe very fast for weeknight meals or quick party prep.
  • If you prefer a tangier flavor, substitute blue cheese dressing for the ranch dressing in the chicken mixture.
  • For extra flavor, brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter mixed with a pinch of Worcestershire sauce before the final bake.
