Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef

  5. Spread the mixture evenly into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Top with the crushed Doritos, then sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the topping is golden.
  8. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a chicken version, substitute 2 cups of shredded cooked chicken for the ground beef.
  • You can assemble this casserole ahead of time and refrigerate it. Add a few extra minutes to the baking time if baking from cold.
  • For a spicier casserole, use a spicy taco seasoning or add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
