Scale
1 (5 ounce) can tuna, drained and flaked
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 large egg, beaten
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine the drained tuna, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, beaten egg, chopped onion, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
Shape the mixture into 4 equal patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Carefully place the tuna patties in the hot skillet.
Fry for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and heated through.
Remove the patties from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
Notes
Serve your tuna patties on buns like burgers, or with your favorite sauce.
For a healthier option, you can bake the patties at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
These patties are a great way to use up leftover breadcrumbs.
