A simple fruit pizza recipe using refrigerated sugar cookie dough and a cream cheese frosting for a quick and delicious dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16.5 ounce) package refrigerated sugar cookie dough
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups assorted fresh fruit, sliced or chopped (such as strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, mandarin oranges, grapes)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Press the sugar cookie dough evenly into the bottom of a 12-inch pizza pan or a 9×13 inch baking dish to form a crust.
  3. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set. Let the crust cool completely on a wire rack.
  4. In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  5. Spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the cooled sugar cookie crust.
  6. Arrange the assorted fresh fruit over the frosting to create your desired design.
  7. Chill the fruit pizza for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For mini fruit pizzas, press cookie dough into mini muffin tins and bake for 8-10 minutes. Use smaller cookie cutters for the crust if desired.
  • You can use canned fruit (like mandarin oranges or pineapple chunks) if fresh fruit is not available, but be sure to drain them well.
  • Add a drizzle of melted white chocolate or a sprinkle of edible glitter for extra decoration.
