Make this sweet and creamy whipped honey butter spread at home quickly. This simple recipe uses few ingredients and creates a fluffy texture perfect for biscuits, rolls, or toast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional, for Texas Roadhouse style)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the softened butter, honey, cinnamon (if using), and salt (if using) into the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or use a large bowl with a hand mixer.
  2. Start mixing on low speed until the ingredients are just combined.
  3. Increase the speed to medium-high and beat for 3 to 5 minutes. You are whipping the butter until it becomes light, fluffy, and pale in color.
  4. Stop the mixer and scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed during the whipping process.
  5. Serve immediately, or transfer the whipped honey butter to an airtight container.

Notes

  • For the best texture, ensure your butter is truly softened, not melted. This allows you to incorporate air effectively for a fluffy result.
  • If you want a copycat Texas Roadhouse Cinnamon Honey Butter, do not skip the cinnamon.
  • Store this homemade butter spread in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Let it sit out for 15 minutes before serving if it has been chilled.
