Easy and flavorful Italian sub sliders perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground Italian sausage
  • 1/2 cup Italian-style bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1/4 cup marinara sauce
  • 12 slices provolone cheese
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the Italian sausage, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, milk, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 12 small patties, about the size of the slider buns.
  4. Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the sausage is cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
  6. While the patties are baking, slice the slider buns in half horizontally.
  7. Once the patties are cooked, place one slice of provolone cheese on top of each hot patty. Let it melt for a minute.
  8. Assemble the sliders by placing a cheese-topped patty on the bottom half of each bun.
  9. Spoon a small amount of marinara sauce over the patty.
  10. Place the top half of the bun over the sauce and patty.
  11. If desired, garnish with chopped parsley.
  12. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, use hot Italian sausage.
  • You can prepare the sausage patties ahead of time and refrigerate them until ready to bake.
  • Toast the slider buns lightly before assembling for extra texture.
  • Add your favorite sub toppings like lettuce, tomato, or onions if desired.
