Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked, crumbled bacon
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped toasted almonds (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the softened cream cheese and sour cream into a medium bowl.
  2. Use a hand mixer or a sturdy spoon to combine the cream cheese and sour cream until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and chopped green onions. If you are using almonds, add them now.
  4. Season the dip with salt and pepper to your preference.
  5. Stir all ingredients together until they are evenly distributed.
  6. Cover the bowl and chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend.
  7. Serve cold with crackers, chips, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • For the best flavor, use full-fat cream cheese and sour cream.
  • If you need to serve this immediately, you can skip the chilling time, but the texture will be softer.
  • This dip is often called Neiman Marcus Dip or Millionaire Dip.
