Make crispy, cheesy English muffin pizzas fast. This recipe is perfect for a quick dinner, easy lunch, or simple snack that kids and adults enjoy.

  • 6 English muffins, split
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni or other desired toppings
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven or toaster oven to 400°F (200°C). If using an air fryer, set it to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the split English muffin halves, cut-side up, on a baking sheet or directly into the air fryer basket.
  3. Lightly toast the muffins for 2 to 3 minutes until they feel slightly firm. This prevents sogginess.
  4. Spread about 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce evenly over the surface of each muffin half.
  5. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese over the sauce.
  6. Add your preferred toppings, such as pepperoni slices. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning if using.
  7. Bake in the oven or toaster oven for 5 to 8 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly and the edges of the muffin are golden brown.
  8. If using an air fryer, cook for 4 to 6 minutes, checking halfway through to prevent burning.
  9. Remove from the heat and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For an Air Fryer Pizza Hack, place the loaded muffins in a single layer in the basket and cook at 375°F for 4-6 minutes.
  • You can prepare these ahead of time. Assemble the pizzas completely (sauce, cheese, toppings) but do not cook. Place them on a tray, freeze until solid, then transfer to a freezer bag. Cook from frozen, adding 2-3 minutes to the cook time.
